Just DANCE

If there are two things that I am KNOWN for is, my LOVE for dancing and my passion for designing clothes. I have been dancing for years. When I say years, I mean almost two decades. I started dancing at the tender age of two at a small dance studio located in Queens, NY named Heavenly Bodies. Dancing eventually lead to me training as a gymnast but that soon died out. (Although I can still round-off and split!) I remember my first performance. I stepped onto the stage in my little hawaiin costume and with a huge smile to add to the outfit. As soon as the music played, every other dance mate of mine was on count and following the routine accept for... yes... ME! It is true and I have the most hilarious video to prove it. I created my own routine right on that spot. Believe it or not, ever since that day, I knew that the stage was a second place of comfort for me. I've danced in various shows and special events. Why? Not even for the exposure of being known as "Stefani the dancer" but rather for the joy of how I feel when I'm in the spotlight on stage. Dancing in a whole remains one of the best feelings in the world to me, even with the experience of being turned down from auditions. Lol. Anywho, this is becoming a bio on my life as a dancer!

I love the performing arts as a hobby. It makes me feel phenomenal! :) Dancing and Singing. I'm not the greatest singer but I can definitely carry a tune. haha. As for dancing? There is no question about it. I love what I do and how I do it is simply... A M A Z I N G.

Brunette vs Blonde

Blondes have more fun?

Well, I don't know if I can vouch for that one.

I am a lover of my dark roots and hair. I was blessed with a set of locks so I've learned to embrace the natural color of my hair. I have been color treating my hair since the age of 14 and have now decided to stop! It's only logical considering that I do want to have hair by the time I'm 30. haha. As a brunette I find that I get more attention. Many people like me as a Brunette but many also like me as a slight blonde because of the color of my eyes. I'm Puerto Rican and with my dark locks I tend to receive tons of attention. They say I appear more exotic. Many people mistake me for Italian, Armenian, Persian and of course Hispanic lol. Hey, I do like being a Latina ;o) I have to say, that is quite the compliment considering I absolutely love those cultures.

As a Blonde, I liked it but I wasn't happy with it because for one my hair grows to fast to enjoy it! I would literally have one inch of my natural roots showing within 1 month. :o/ Second, I don't go to just any ordinary hair salon, so I would go to a boutique in which I payed an arm and a leg to get my hair highlighted. Third, I simply didn't feel like myself. I kept on thinking about special occasions in my life, in the future... like my wedding day. I want to appear like me, not like some made up doll. I can appreciate my dad in this matter because he always tells me to be myself in all aspects because I am beautiful just the way I am. Coloring the hair seems so simple but in the same light, it's VERY personal. I wish I would have listened to him but I am one to learn from my own experience. SO, from now on I will embrace my dark locks more than ever. I'll start thinking about dyes once I get some gray strands. haha.

Kim Kardashian is widely known for her dark hair amongst other things. Recently, she posed as a blonde for a magazine shoot and roamed NYC streets with her profound new look. I wasn't impressed. Not that I should care, because it's just hair BUT it goes to show that natural hair color can be more beautiful and appear healthier and shinier! Sometimes, color treating the hair can make one look and appear much more older or younger. I guess it depends. Nothing urks me more than dye that eventually fades! So, with that being said- NATURAL IS THE WAY TO GO.

The costumes which were designed by Dean & Dan Caten were PHENOMENAL.

Vibrant colors, Jewels, Furs, Boas, Stilletoes, Corsets, Top Hats, Crystal Bras, Empire Waist Shorts, Indian Inspired Attire, Police Inspired Attire, Fishnets, Nude Body Suits, Black Leotards and Tailored Jackets, were ALL the rave.

They stated “We wanted to create something much more provoking and indecent…something animalistic and primal,” the duo said of their inspiration, which, although based on the Circus seems to have more than a little in common with the lady herself. “We are confident that this tour partnership, an autobiographical tribute for one who has always been in the spotlight: scrutinized, watched, imitated, photographed, criticized and loved, will be an enormous success.”

Circus Show starring Britney Spears

Last night I had the privilege of seeing the renown Britney Spears in concert.

I must say, IT WAS AWESOME!

Her opening costume consisted of a Ringmaster like ensemble, with bright colors such as red and blue. The jacket was fitted, cropped at the waistline and also beared to puffs on the shoulder of the garment. Britney descended from the roof of the Nassau Coliseum arena in a gold metal cage, introducing the opening song, her hit single, "Circus". Ninjas, clowns, acrobats, martial arts entertainers, dancers and jugglers lit up the stage in a visual feast of intense actions. During breaks in between songs, Big Apple Circus acrobats held the audiences attention with mind blowing illusions and stunts.

The opening act of the night were the "Pussy Cat Dolls" who unfortuantely couldn't perform due to an illness within the group. The concert which was supposed to start at 8 p.m, started at the delightful hour of 9:15 p.m. The introduction to concert began with a video sequenced projected on stage which included Internet Blog personality, Perez Hilton. Britney sang songs which included "Circus", the most conroversal song, "If You Seek Amy", "Radar", "Everytime", the closing song "Womanizer" and last but not least the song that started it all "Baby One More Time" amongst others. The duration of the concert was 90 minutes, in which she performed 22 songs in total.

The show consisted of various eye catching themes which included, the army drill, an indian influenced redition of "In The Zone", martial arts and illusions. The stage set up was like no other. Three large circles were placed in the center of the coliseum, while fire and spotlights filled the air.
All in all she held her title as the "Princess of Pop"

My name is Stefani and I am a piece of work in the making :o ) Everyone who knows me, knows me by the name Stefani Violet because of my first name and also my love for the color purple. I am an Artist in all different aspects. I am a Fashion Designer, Make Up Artist, Stylist, Artist, Writer and Performer. I am a simple girl, with a huge imagination. Here is a piece of me.

Just 22 years old and I am a lover of doing what makes me, ME, which = happiness in my eyes. I am very creative and am always trying something new and different. I am an old fashioned girl that is a mix of every era lived and therefore hold close to my values.

"Urban Jasz" comes from my love of urban art, music, design and culture. I was raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City. With that being so, I have always held close to my culture and roots. My family is mixed but the majority are of Puerto Rican descent. Being a vivacious Latina runs through my veins and has always been a vital part of who I am.

It gives me an edge.

I am Adventurous, Fun, Charismatic, Spontaneous, Spiritual and Sassy.

I don't have the urge to be famous nor do I crave for the finer things in life. I just love doing what I do because it's my passion.

That's kind of a big deal.
